By our regional staff. The 170th Victory Day parade ends at Victory Square in heat. The War Ministry estimates the crowd at 28,000. The year's casualty roll is read. The fireworks over the Ostra were delayed by the weather. Speaking to this journal, a schoolmaster who happened to be passing said: 'They were very orderly about it.'

Salzhafen, 13 June 1981

The summer fair opens at Salzhafen. 800 head of cattle change hands. Prices are described as firm. Word reached the market square within the hour and was the talk of it for the rest of the day. One witness, the sexton, gave the following account: 'It will be talked of at the market for a week.'

The Assembly

15 June 1981. The Digital Records (Amendment) Act passed. Passed by the Assembly by 53 votes to 8. Licences are issued by the Ministry of the Interior for a fee of 31 marka. It amends The Digital Records (Amendment) Act. The final reading was formal.

The Grand Chancellor, Andrea Wendl, has held office since 14 February 1979.

The War Appropriation for the year, 90,554,982 marka, passed the Assembly without a dissenting voice.
