A fire in Well Square at Grauholt destroys 5 houses. The town watch attend. No lives are lost. The roads about Grauholt were passable at the time. Speaking to this journal, a schoolmaster who happened to be passing said: 'It was over before the bell had done ringing.'

The event is expected to be spoken of at the next market day, when the farmers come in from the surrounding country and the price of peat is settled for the month.

Lindenmar. A cart overturns in Well Street, Lindenmar. The driver, a man of Berging, is taken to hospital. Business in Lindenmar went on briskly through the afternoon. A spokesman for the town declined to add to the statement.
