A cart overturns in Short Way, Salzhafen. The driver, a man of Oberholt, is taken to hospital. Speaking to this journal, the driver of the carrier's cart said: 'I have lived here 30 years and I never saw the like.' A fuller account appears in our regional pages.

The town officers met a little after 7 in the morning the following day and resolved to make a return to the Ministry of the Interior. The ferry was open as usual.
