By our regional staff. The weaving shed at Vellhausen burns through the night. 10 men are out of work. The bell was rung at the church and the townspeople turned out to see. Local reaction was muted.
By the next morning Vellhausen had returned to its ordinary business, the roads being heavy after rain. A woman selling eels at the corner said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.
