Bread, the loaf, 214.8 pfen; beer, the litre, 322.3 pfen. A labourer's day is paid at 331.97 marka; a furnished room lets at 161.13 marka the month. The Exchange index closed the year at 23,152.50. Bank rate stands at 6.29 per cent.

The War Appropriation for the year, 73,180,477 marka, passed the Assembly without a dissenting voice.
