A fire in Chapel Way at Ostrabruck destroys 2 houses. The garrison attend. No lives are lost. Business in Ostrabruck went on briskly through the afternoon. One witness, a woman who had come in from the market, gave the following account: 'I have lived here 50 years and I never saw the like.'
The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.

The Grand Chancellor, Viktor Crull, was informed by telephone and made no comment.
