Parer Brewery lists on the Vellmar Exchange as PAR. The tone of the market was firm. Our picture shows the scene shortly afterwards.
Those in the trade at Vellmar spoke of the matter with some satisfaction. A woman who had come in from the market observed that a counting-house is a counting-house whoever's name is over the door.
