Brennholt marks the 700th anniversary of its charter with a procession along Old Gate Walk. The roads about Brennholt were dry at the time. A retired sergeant of the Marsh Regiments said: 'They were very orderly about it.'

The event is expected to be spoken of at the next market day, when the farmers come in from the surrounding country and the price of eels is settled for the month.
