Hollstadt, 20 December 2002

Electric light is switched on in the market square at Hollstadt. The town clerk entered the matter in the minute book as the lamps were lit. Speaking to this journal, the keeper of the toll-house said: 'It was over before the bell had done ringing.'

The Herald's correspondent adds that the town took it as such towns do.
