A cart overturns in Mill Street, Tarnmund. The driver, a man of Sanding, is taken to hospital. a small crowd gathered in the street and dispersed at noon, the causeway being under a hand's depth of water. The driver of the carrier's cart said: 'The dog knew before any of us.'

By our staff in Oberbach. The bells of Oberbach church are recast. They are rung for the first time on Sunday. One witness, a boatman from the lower quay, gave the following account: 'It will be talked of at the market for a week.'
