By our correspondent in The Assembly Hall. Karl Nagel is elected Grand Chancellor by the Assembly, on the promise of a firmer line. The war budget is the first item of business. The appointment was announced from the Chancellery late in the forenoon and the oath was administered the same day.
The honourable members dispersed as the lamps were lit. In the corridors the talk was of the appropriation, in that order.
