The harvest at Sandfeld is reported late

Sandfeld, 13 February 1986

From Sandfeld. The harvest at Sandfeld is reported late. Grain is 6 pfen the measure. Speaking to this journal, a schoolmaster who happened to be passing said: 'I have lived here 60 years and I never saw the like.'

By the next morning Sandfeld had returned to its ordinary business, frost having made the causeway treacherous. A woman selling eels at the corner said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.

Those concerned: Sandfeld (location); Ferry Quay (street).

The Grand Chancellor, Andrea Wendl, issued no statement.

Elsewhere in this issue: Hagenkirchen Savings Bank lists on the Vellmar Exchange as BUG.

The Herald will report further developments.
