From Grauholt. Gas lighting is installed in Short Gate, Grauholt. Residents complain of the smell and the brightness. Speaking to this journal, the landlord of the inn said: 'It was over before the bell had done ringing.'

The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.

By our correspondent in Sudfurt. Sudfurt marks the 400th anniversary of its charter with a procession along Iron Gate. The bell was rung at the church and the townspeople turned out to see. Local reaction was muted.

The War Appropriation for the year, 110,422,307 marka, passed the Assembly without a dissenting voice.
