Piped water reaches Garrison Street, Weinau. The old pump is retained by public request. The matter was the only talk at the quay that evening. One witness, the sexton, gave the following account: 'We heard it from the far bank and thought it was the ferry.'
The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.
