The coldest night in 80 years is recorded at Norrbruck. Lake Tarn freezes to the middle. Speaking to this journal, the driver of the carrier's cart said: 'I said at the time it would come to this.' The matter is expected to be raised in the Assembly.
The event is expected to be spoken of at the next market day, when the farmers come in from the surrounding country and the price of eels is settled for the month.
