A picture house opens in Church Square, Vellhausen, seating 400. The town clerk entered the matter in the minute book at a quarter past 4. Speaking to this journal, a clerk who would not be named said: 'You could hear it in the next street.'
The town officers met at a quarter past 4 the following day and resolved to do nothing for the present. The inn was open as usual.

The Grand Chancellor, Bruno Fiechdon, had not commented at the time of going to press.
