The harvest at Brennholt is reported good

The harvest at Brennholt is reported good. Grain is 8 pfen the measure. A schoolmaster who happened to be passing said: 'I said at the time it would come to this.' The town was quiet by evening.

By the next morning Brennholt had returned to its ordinary business, the roads being heavy after rain. A woman selling eels at the corner said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.
