Mika Zorn of the Marsh Regiments is awarded the Line Medal for repairing the planking under fire. The award was read to the regiment on parade at dusk. The Ministry publishes the citation without further particulars.

The Minister of War will make the customary statement to the Assembly. The names will be read with the year's roll.

One witness, a schoolmaster who happened to be passing, gave the following account: 'The clerk wrote it all down; you may ask him.'

Reported from Tarnmoor. A storm strips roofs in Tarnmoor and fells the old lime in Lime Lane. One witness, a retired sergeant of the Marsh Regiments, gave the following account: 'I have lived here 60 years and I never saw the like.'
