Reported from Sudfurt. Electric light is switched on in the market square at Sudfurt. One witness, a boatman from the lower quay, gave the following account: 'They were very orderly about it.'

The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.

The road between Kessel and Hollstadt is metalled at a cost of 30,000 marka. Speaking to this journal, a peat cutter on his way home said: 'You could hear it in the next street.' The Herald will follow the matter.
