The Assembly

22 November 2012. An Act for the Better Regulation of Motorway passed. Passed by the Assembly by 41 votes to 21. Provides 222268 marka for works between Vellmar and Norrwick. Comes into force on 1 January 2013. The vote was taken at dusk.

20 November 2012. The Weights and Measures Act passed. Passed by the Assembly by 53 votes to 10. Sets the duty at 8 pfen in the marka. The debate was brief.

19 November 2012. An Act for the Better Regulation of Markets passed. Passed by the Assembly by 48 votes to 12. Sets the duty at 11 pfen in the marka. The vote was taken at a quarter past 2.

The Regional Court of The Ostrand, 24 November 2012. The Crown v. Wendl. Concerning desertion from the Marsh Regiments. Ruling: returned to the regiment. Judgment late in the afternoon sitting.

The Regional Court of Westgau, 21 November 2012. The Crown v. Brenn. Concerning fraud on the War Ministry. Ruling: 8 months with hard labour. Judgment at half past 2 in the afternoon.

The Exchange was dull. Price indicators for the week:

Bread, the loaf, 507.1 pfen; beer, the litre, 760.6 pfen. A labourer's day is paid at 97.21 marka; a furnished room lets at 340.23 marka the month. The Exchange index closed the year at 56,451.80. Bank rate stands at 4.64 per cent.
