From Berging. A new school opens at Berging with 50 pupils. The textbooks are the Ministry's. The roads about Berging were under water at the time. The Herald will follow the matter.

By the next morning Berging had returned to its ordinary business, the ford being passable. A schoolmaster who happened to be passing said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.
