Reported from Weinwick. Electric light is switched on in the market square at Weinwick. The driver of the carrier's cart said: 'I have lived here 60 years and I never saw the like.'

The event is expected to be spoken of at the next market day, when the farmers come in from the surrounding country and the price of grain is settled for the month.
