The bells of Oberbach church are recast. They are rung for the first time on Sunday. The town clerk entered the matter in the minute book at dusk. We have it from a retired sergeant of the Marsh Regiments that the affair was noisier than the report suggests.

The bells of Oberbach church are recast. They are rung for the first time on Sunday. a fair number of the townspeople gathered in the street and dispersed shortly before the evening bell, the causeway being under a hand's depth of water. A clerk who would not be named said: 'It will be talked of at the market for a week.'
