Reported from Victory Square. The 191st Victory Day parade ends at Victory Square in a cold wind off the Ostra. The War Ministry estimates the crowd at 38,000. The year's casualty roll is read. The fireworks over the Ostra were delayed by the weather. One witness, a carter who declined to give his name, gave the following account: 'Nobody wanted to be the first to say anything.'

The town officers met at dusk the following day and resolved to enter the matter in the minute book. The inn was open as usual.
