Weinau, 18 February 2002

The bells of Weinau church are recast. They are rung for the first time on Sunday. We have it from the landlord of the inn that the affair was noisier than the report suggests. A statement is expected in the coming days.

By the next morning Weinau had returned to its ordinary business, frost having made the causeway treacherous. The driver of the carrier's cart said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.
