The bells of Wasserdorf church are recast. They are rung for the first time on Sunday. Speaking to this journal, a retired sergeant of the Marsh Regiments said: 'I have lived here 50 years and I never saw the like.' Related reports are linked below.

By our staff in Vellmar. Gas lighting is installed in Salt Walk, Vellmar. Residents complain of the smell and the brightness. One witness, the landlord of the inn, gave the following account: 'The clerk wrote it all down; you may ask him.'
