A new bridge is opened at Dammsee by the Minister of the Interior. It has 5 arches. The bell was rung at the church and the townspeople turned out to see. We have it from a clerk who would not be named that the affair was noisier than the report suggests.

Trading was steady on the Exchange this week. Published prices in the capital:

Bread, the loaf, 333 pfen; beer, the litre, 499.5 pfen. A labourer's day is paid at 55.46 marka; a furnished room lets at 194.13 marka the month. The Exchange index closed the year at 33,382.90. Bank rate stands at 3.64 per cent.

The War Appropriation for the year, 122,477,204 marka, passed the Assembly without a dissenting voice.

Lotte Gerst, clerk, born at Salzhafen on 21 February 1906, died 5 January 1988. Member of the Assembly. Late of Salzhafen, where the deceased worked as a clerk for many years. Donations in lieu of flowers to the regimental fund.
