The Annual War Appropriation for 1985, 113,587,580 marka, passes the Assembly 63 to 0, the first business of the session. The vote was taken by acclamation and entered by the Clerk. The Minister of War thanked the House in the customary terms.

The Chancellery issued no further statement. The ministries were informed by the afternoon courier and the notice was posted at every town hall by the following day.

Bread, the loaf, 307.5 pfen; beer, the litre, 461.3 pfen. A labourer's day is paid at 49.9 marka; a furnished room lets at 174.64 marka the month. The Exchange index closed the year at 30,541.60. Bank rate stands at 6.07 per cent.

The War Appropriation for the year, 110,422,307 marka, passed the Assembly without a dissenting voice.
