Kaltz Causeway Supply lists on the Vellmar Exchange as OTL. The listing was read out on the floor of the Exchange in the customary form and the brokers proceeded to business. The matter is expected to come before the town council.

Those in the trade at Vellmar spoke of the matter without surprise. A peat cutter on his way home observed that a counting-house is a counting-house whoever's name is over the door.

A quiet week on the Exchange. Prices in the capital:

Bread, the loaf, 92.2 pfen; beer, the litre, 138.2 pfen. A labourer's day is paid at 12.21 marka; a furnished room lets at 42.75 marka the month. The Exchange index closed the year at 18,072.10. Bank rate stands at 3.58 per cent.

The War Appropriation for the year, 26,895,710 marka, passed the Assembly without a dissenting voice.
