8 November 1921. The Causeway Timber Act passed. Passed by the Assembly without a division. Charged to the Annual War Appropriation. Passed unanimously, as is customary for measures concerning the Line. Comes into force on 1 January 1922. Third reading.

8 November 1921. The Poor Relief (Amendment) Act passed. Passed by the Assembly by 33 votes to 14. Every town above 5000 inhabitants must appoint an officer under this Act. It amends The Berging Poor Relief Act. Passed without incident.

The Grand Chancellor, Bruno Fiechdon, has held office since 20 October 1919.

Markets thin. Wine shares up. Prices:

Bread, the loaf, 39.8 pfen; beer, the litre, 59.6 pfen. A labourer's day is paid at 4.01 marka; a furnished room lets at 14.02 marka the month. The Exchange index closed the year at 4,425. Bank rate stands at 7.1 per cent.

The War Appropriation for the year, 6,872,270 marka, passed the Assembly without a dissenting voice.
