Reedtal marks the 700th anniversary of its charter with a procession along Short Row. The town clerk entered the matter in the minute book late in the forenoon. We have it from a peat cutter on his way home that the affair was orderly.

The town officers met late in the forenoon the following day and resolved to make a return to the Ministry of the Interior. The inn was open as usual.

5 July 1921. An Act for the Better Licensing of Poor Relief passed. Passed by the Assembly by 40 votes to 21. Every town above 1000 inhabitants must appoint an officer under this Act. Passed without incident.
