Weinfeld, by wire. The road between Weinfeld and Oberholt is metalled at a cost of 20,000 marka. One witness, a boatman from the lower quay, gave the following account: 'I have lived here 60 years and I never saw the like.'

By the next morning Weinfeld had returned to its ordinary business, the ford being passable. A clerk who would not be named said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.

The spring fair opens at Salzhafen. 500 head of cattle change hands. Prices are described as firm. a fair number of the townspeople gathered in the street and dispersed towards 5 in the afternoon, the ferry running late. The driver of the carrier's cart said: 'I have lived here 60 years and I never saw the like.'

A cart overturns in Vine Row, Hagenkirchen. The driver, a man of Wasserdorf, is taken to hospital. The driver of the carrier's cart said: 'I have lived here 50 years and I never saw the like.' The town was quiet by evening.

The War Appropriation for the year, 6,872,270 marka, passed the Assembly without a dissenting voice.
