The Ostra rises 80 centimetres above its mark at Grauholt. Cellars in Cooper Lane are flooded. The matter was the only talk at the quay that evening. Speaking to this journal, a clerk who would not be named said: 'It was over before the bell had done ringing.'

The event is expected to be spoken of at the next market day, when the farmers come in from the surrounding country and the price of eels is settled for the month.
