Moor & Larer, Merchants is founded at Oberbach by Hanne Moor. The particulars were entered in the register of companies at the Ministry of Finance. We shall return to the matter.
Those in the trade at Oberbach spoke of the matter guardedly. A woman selling eels at the corner observed that a counting-house is a counting-house whoever's name is over the door.

29 November 1890. The Public Order (Amendment) Act passed. Passed by the Assembly by 43 votes to 8. Penalty on conviction: a fine of 1790 marka or 12 months. It amends The Norrhafen Public Order Act. The House disposed of the measure and passed to the estimates.
The Grand Chancellor, Hendrik Brenn, has held office since 14 February 1888.

The High Court, 27 November 1890. Leistar v. Lerschis. Concerning a boundary between two farms at Dammberg. Ruling: boundary fixed at the old ditch. Argument took the morning.
The Regional Court of The Capital District, 29 November 1890. Brenn v. Kreil. Concerning a boundary between two farms at Vellmar. Ruling: for the plaintiff. The court was full; judgment was given shortly after noon.
The Regional Court of The Ostrand, 29 November 1890. The Crown v. Voss. Concerning desertion from the Marsh Regiments. Ruling: acquitted: he was lost in the fog. Argument took two days.
The Regional Court of The Sudmark, 25 November 1890. The Crown v. Kessler. Concerning fraud on the Royal Post. Ruling: 8 years. The court was full; judgment was given late in the afternoon sitting.
The Market
Business on the Exchange was dull throughout the week. The prices current in the capital are as follows.
Bread, the loaf, 13.7 pfen; beer, the litre, 20.5 pfen. A labourer's day is paid at 0.99 marka; a furnished room lets at 3.46 marka the month. The Exchange index closed the year at 1,877.80. Bank rate stands at 3.58 per cent.
The War Appropriation for the year, 1,799,041 marka, passed the Assembly without a dissenting voice.

Deaths
Bertil Lenz, farmer, born at Sudmund on 12 May 1822, died 28 November 1890. Member of the Assembly. The funeral took place from the parish church at Sudmund; the mourners followed in the customary order, the family first and the trade after. The blinds in the street were drawn.
Piet Kestmann, farmer, born at Vellfurt on 26 March 1824, died 24 November 1890. Known throughout Vellfurt as a farmer of cheerful habits. The service was read shortly before the evening bell and the trade attended in a body.
