The bells of Sanding church are recast. They are rung for the first time on Sunday. The parish officers attended towards 3 in the afternoon. The driver of the carrier's cart said: 'The dog knew before any of us.'
The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.
