The bells of Dammsee church are recast. They are rung for the first time on Sunday. The roads about Dammsee were dry at the time. A woman selling eels at the corner said: 'We heard it from the far bank and thought it was the ferry.'
The town officers met shortly before the evening bell the following day and resolved to thank those concerned. The ferry was open as usual.
