Dammberg marks the 300th anniversary of its charter with a procession along Old Gate Street. Speaking to this journal, the keeper of the toll-house said: 'It will be talked of at the market for a week.' A statement is expected in the coming days.
The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.
