Reported from Oberbach. Piped water reaches Harbour Row, Oberbach. The old pump is retained by public request. Speaking to this journal, the driver of the carrier's cart said: 'We heard it from the far bank and thought it was the ferry.'
By the next morning Oberbach had returned to its ordinary business, the ford being passable. A clerk who would not be named said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.
