The winter fair opens at Norrhafen
Norrhafen, 19 February 1995
The winter fair opens at Norrhafen. 200 head of cattle change hands. Prices are described as firm. Speaking to this journal, a carter who declined to give his name said: 'Nobody wanted to be the first to say anything.' The matter is expected to be raised in the Assembly.
By the next morning Norrhafen had returned to its ordinary business, frost having made the causeway treacherous. A peat cutter on his way home said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.
