From Norrwick. Norrwick marks the 200th anniversary of its charter with a procession along Weaver Way. One witness, a peat cutter on his way home, gave the following account: 'I said at the time it would come to this.'

The Herald's correspondent adds that the town took it with interest.

The Grand Chancellor, Rolf Quast, issued no statement.
