Dahlmann & Bondfeck is founded at Kessel by Katja Dahlmann. Trade in Kessel took the news as expected; the market were quiet by the afternoon.

Those in the trade at Kessel spoke of the matter guardedly. The landlord of the inn observed that a counting-house is a counting-house whoever's name is over the door.
