A crowd of 6,000 watches the Pfahl match at Ostrabruck. There are 9 arrests. The roads about Ostrabruck were passable at the time. Speaking to this journal, a peat cutter on his way home said: 'Nobody wanted to be the first to say anything.'
By the next morning Ostrabruck had returned to its ordinary business, the ford being passable. The driver of the carrier's cart said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.
