The first train reaches Weinwick

The first train reaches Weinwick. The journey from Vellmar takes 6 hours. The town clerk entered the matter in the minute book at a quarter past 1. Speaking to this journal, a schoolmaster who happened to be passing said: 'Nobody wanted to be the first to say anything.'

The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.

The Grand Chancellor, Karl Nagel, declined to comment.
