Peter Tarn resigns as Minister of Chronology over a letter suggesting the front might be moved. The Chancellor accepts the resignation 'with regret and without comment'. The matter had been talked of in the corridors of the Assembly for some days. We have it from a retired sergeant of the Marsh Regiments that the affair was brief.

The honourable members dispersed at about half past 9. In the corridors the talk was of the next election, in that order.

The Grand Chancellor, Karl Nagel, declined to comment.
