The weaving shed at Norrbruck burns through the night. 52 men are out of work. A carter who declined to give his name said: 'I said at the time it would come to this.' Local reaction was muted.
The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.
