From Tarnmoor. Tarnmoor marks the 500th anniversary of its charter with a procession along Orchard Lane. The town clerk entered the matter in the minute book at about half past 9. A spokesman for the town declined to add to the statement.

The Herald's correspondent adds that the town took it calmly.
