A storm strips roofs in Sudfurt and fells the old lime in Salt Way. One witness, a woman who had come in from the market, gave the following account: 'You could hear it in the next street.' A spokesman for the town declined to add to the statement.
The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.
Those concerned: Sudfurt (location); Salt Way (street).
The Grand Chancellor, Andrea Wendl, issued no statement.
Reaction in the regions was muted.
