Gas lighting is installed in Forge Square, Sudfurt. Residents complain of the smell and the brightness. The sexton said: 'The clerk wrote it all down; you may ask him.' Enquiries are continuing.
The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.
Those concerned: Sudfurt (location); Forge Square (street).
The Grand Chancellor, Viktor Crull, was informed by telephone and made no comment.
