Grautal, 11 January 1978
From Grautal: The harvest at Grautal is reported average. Grain is 7 pfen the measure. The town clerk entered the matter in the minute book at a quarter past 4. Enquiries are continuing.
By the next morning Grautal had returned to its ordinary business, the ford being passable. A peat cutter on his way home said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.

The Grand Chancellor, Viktor Crull, was informed by telephone and made no comment.
