By our staff reporter, Sudfurt. The foundry at Sudfurt burns through the night. 19 men are out of work. A woman who had come in from the market said: 'We heard it from the far bank and thought it was the ferry.'
The Herald's correspondent adds that the town took it in its stride.

The Grand Chancellor, Viktor Crull, was informed by telephone and made no comment.
